According to Anslie Meares they are more stressful than any other event in a person's life, but for many they are still THE EVENT. |

Jane Nichols (Katherine Heigl) fell in love with "making the bride's day" as a child, and by the time this movie opens she has bought her 27th bridesmaid outfit. She has made "always a bridesmaid" into a lifestyle, and while she is busy making other people's days, she is avoiding making her own. Enter a jaded wedding reporter who decides that an article about the perpetual bridesmaid is his invitation out of the white tulle ghetto. Jane is the ultimate enabler; she and her single father have created a ego-monster little sister whose self-centredness makes her the ultimate bridezilla. Will Jane win her special man and have her own special day? Fun, occasionally witty and not overly sweet. |
